â€Å"Americans tend to endorse the use of physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia when the question is abstract and hypothetical† (Ezekiel Emanuel). Not many people support it, but many of them do. Euthanasia the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma. The practice is illegal in most countries. Or also known as â€Å"mercy killing†. To those many patients who have terminal illnesses the procedure is done to them. But only if they are suffering too much and can’t hold the pain no more the doctors do recommend Euthanasia. Basically the patients get to decide whether they want to live or not. As many call it â€Å"suicide†. Those who are against euthanasia may argue for the sanity of life. Meaning people are made in God’s image,human life has an inherently sacred attribute that should be protected and respected at all times. Euthanasia is not an acceptable choice of death because it inhibits advancements in medicine, it can easily lead to potential patient abuse and it is unnecessary, if alternative treatment exists.
